  The Background
There has been much in the press about this exciting opportunity. Plymouth City Council have been given some funding from the Department for Children, Families and Schools (DCFS) to rebuild one school in the city and the decision made some twelve months ago that it's to be Estover. However, it's not just the College - Estover Primary School is to be relocated on the campus together with a Special School and Plymouth Hospital School. Couple this with the newly refurbished and extended Childrens' Centre and Nursery School and the Soundhouse and we have an exciting 'all-through' campus - a dream we've held for many years.

Recent months have seen us spending a considerable amount of time with architects, planners and Kier Western (the design and build contractors) to look at what we want the new building to achieve and how it will look. There have been many challenges to overcome but, we feel that at the end of the design stage we have some exciting plans which really enhance our aspirations for learning and teaching.

We aim to open a new school which is a pleasure to work, learn and teach in and one which students, staff and visitors are proud of.
  Work In Progress
At the rear of the college, construction is well underway on the two teaching blocks and the special school. To the front the new dining hall, art block, museum space, administration, DT Food and the public/college library are also progressing at an amazing pace
  Car Parking
The new location of the main college car park is towards Dover Road on Miller Way. There is a one way system in operation with a speed limit of 5mph. The entrance in front of the construction work should be used as a drop off point for students. There is limited unrestricted parking also in this area. We would ask all visitors and staff to respect the safety of students and other users and to adhere to speed limits at all times.
